Avenue of Flags
Honoring those who served
The Avenue of Flags is one of Holstein’s most meaningful landmarks—a powerful tribute to veterans with ties to our community.
Started in 2012 as an Eagle Scout project by Michael Perrett, with support from American Legion Post 225, the display continues to grow and inspire.
Each flag represents a veteran and includes their:
- Name
- Rank
- Branch of service
- Service era
Displayed along S. Kiel Street, the flags are raised on:
- Memorial Day
- Kinderfest
- Independence Day
- Veterans Day (weather permitting)
