Sheriff - Wade Harriman 
I am originally from New Hartford, Iowa.  I started with the Ida County Sheriff’s Office June 1997 as a Deputy Sheriff.  In July 1998 I was appointed by the Ida County Board of Supervisors to the Office of Sheriff.  Ida County Sheriff’s Office provides all law enforcement services for each of the five incorporated cities in Ida County, as well as the unincorporated area.  My wife and I have two children. During my off-duty time I serve on several civic organizations in Ida County. I officiate high school football, basketball, baseball and softball throughout the school year and summer.  I also volunteer to coach my children’s sports teams.
